The annual ranking of UK companies creating original technology for insurance advice, products and claims will be published here on Monday 27th October.
Following the creation of a 99-strong shortlist, the final ranking has been decided by a combination of selections from an expert judging panel (see below) and a vote among readers of BusinessCloud.
The judges
Janine Hirt, CEO, Innovate Finance
Janine Hirt is CEO of Innovate Finance, the industry body representing UK FinTech. Part of the founding team in 2015 – first as head of membership then ecosystem director – she was named COO in 2017 before stepping up to lead the organisation in 2021.
Melissa Collett, CEO, Insurtech UK
Melissa Collett is CEO of Insurtech UK, the only trade association in the UK dedicated to InsurTech businesses. Insurtech UK’s mission is for the UK to be the global leader for insurance innovation.
Paddy Goodlet, corporate finance – head of FinTech M&A, KPMG UK
Paddy Goodlet leads KPMG Corporate Finance‘s UK FinTech M&A coverage. He advises companies on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, capital raisings and strategic options, and has expertise in working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
Jonathan Symcox, editor, BusinessCloud
