Listed infection prevention products manufacturer Tristel has appointed CMR Surgical executive Anna Wasyl as its new CFO.
Wasyl, who has held positions including CFO and chief commercial partnerships and operations officer at CMR, brings over 20 years of experience to the Cambridgeshire-based MedTech.
She replaces Liz Dixon, who has now left the company after 18 years in the role.
During her tenure at CMR, she led the company through go-to-market model transition and a major turnaround programme, delivering significant reduction of operational expenses and cash burn.
She also introduced commercial models, new revenue streams and launched strategic partnerships across 20 countries.
Prior to this, Wasyl spent 18 years at automation and robotics firm ABB, where she progressed to become CFO of the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Unit in Shanghai, China.
Throughout her career, the Warsaw School of Economics graduate has led high-performing teams, overseen business operations with revenues up to $1bn and raised over $200m in capital.
Tristel’s share price dropped to a five-year-low of 275p in April which coincided with Donald Trump’s Liberation Day tariffs.
However, it has since recovered and sits at 363.5p, giving the business a market cap of £173.61m.
“I am honoured to join Tristel as its new CFO,” said Wasyl. “Tristel has established a well-earned reputation for innovation and leadership in infection prevention and I look forward to being CFO for this exceptional business.
“I am eager to build on the strong financial and strategic foundation established by Liz Dixon, and to working closely with the board, executive leadership and global teams to drive long-term, sustainable growth.
“My priorities will include capitalising on global market opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening our presence in key geographies.
“Together, we will continue to focus on delivering growth and exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders.”
Matt Sassone, CEO of Tristel, added: “Anna has joined at an exciting time for Tristel plc. We welcome Anna to the Tristel team and look forward to updating the market on the company’s progress at the preliminary results in October.”
