Welcome to BusinessCloud’s EnviroTech 50 ranking for 2025.
The annual ranking of UK companies creating original technology for use in green energy, to protect the environment and boost sustainability will be published here on Monday 23rd June.
Following the creation of a 135-strong shortlist, the final ranking has been decided by a combination of selections from an expert judging panel (see below) and a public vote among readers of BusinessCloud.
The judges
Lubomila Jordanova, co-founder, GreenTech Alliance
Lubomila co-founded network GreenTech Alliance and also Plan A, a Berlin startup which predicts where and how climate change will hit hardest and helps businesses reduce their carbon footprint
David Pugh, VP – sustainable innovation, Cambridge Consultants
David, former director for sustainable industry at Digital Catapult, now leads the sustainable innovation work at Cambridge Consultants, which helps clients worldwide to identify the most meaningful ways to enable innovation
Sammy Fry, head of climate, Tech Nation
Sammy is head of climate at Tech Nation, which supports game-changing founders, leaders and scaling companies so they can positively transform societies and economies through coaching, community and connections
Sara Boswell, director of the University of Salford’s Centre for Sustainable Innovation
Sara is the director of the Centre for Sustainable Innovation at the University of Salford. She has a background in both academia and industry within digital, innovation and skills
