Brentford have achieved first place in the Premier League’s Matchday Fan Experience and Engagement Survey.

The Bees said returning to the summit – it secured second place for the previous two campaigns, and was first in the 2022-23 season – underlined the investment the club continues to make to enhance the matchday experience at Gtech Community Stadium.

The club achieved an overall winning score of 80.8. Results of the survey were determined by responses from nearly 32,000 match-attending supporters across all Premier League clubs. Over 1,100 of these were Brentford fans, an increase from last year.

In all measurements contributing to the score, Brentford rank in the top six of clubs in the league. Fans’ views on matchday atmosphere remain encouraging, with 96% of supporters feeling positive about the atmosphere at the Gtech, and 95% saying that the club provides an inclusive experience for all supporters.

The club also scored well for providing a family-friendly environment, and how we deal with negative fan behaviour, of which the number of incidences remain below the league average.

In response to fan feedback, in-stadium Wi-Fi was introduced. As a result, the club ranked third in the league for Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additionally, the attitude and performance of club staff overall, and specifically ticket office staff, also ranked top, which is particularly positive in a season where digital ticketing was introduced.

Sally Stephens, fan and community relations director, said: “Returning to the top of the table is a testament to the hard work across the club, including our matchday staff, as well as the incredible support of our fans and the atmosphere they create at the Gtech.

“Together, we’ve continued to build a welcoming and inclusive experience throughout our time in the Premier League.

“We’re especially pleased that supporters have responded so positively to improvements such as our new free Wi-Fi, enhanced matchday menus, and the transition to digital ticketing this season.”
