A character who divides public opinion, Steven Bartlett joined the Den in 2021 (series 19) to usurp Sara Davies MBE’s status as the youngest Dragon to join the BBC show.
Bartlett co-founded Manchester-based Social Chain in 2014 with Dominic McGregor and would later tell BusinessCloud he was inspired to become a success due to his tough upbringing.
In 2020, Bartlett was inducted into the Manchester Hall of Fame and also recognised in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. In 2025 he stepped down from his position on the board of Huel, a year after he came under fire for promoting the product on Facebook without disclosing that he was a director there.
During his time on the show so far, Bartlett has invested in companies including Planthood, The Little Loop and Little’s Coffee.
Below you can find a list of Bartlett’s investments agreed on the show, whether they ultimately went through away from the cameras and the current status of the businesses.
We have also compiled the Dragons’ Den investments made by Sara Davies MBE, Peter Jones CBE, Touker Suleyman and Deborah Meaden.
