Manchester-headquartered Godel Technologies Europe has appointed Gareth Ainsworth as its new chief executive.
It completes a meteoric rise for Ainsworth, who previously spent nearly 17 years at ANS Group, where he ended up as group sales director.
The nearshore software engineering partner has software delivery centres across Eastern Europe.
After his instrumental six-year tenure as CEO, Neil McMurdo will take up the role as non-executive chairman. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for Godel, signifying a new era of leadership and innovation.
Gareth Ainsworth said: “Godel is at the forefront of software development talent, building industry disruptive business critical solutions and I am looking forward to working within this world class and well-established team as CEO.
“Godel has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality and success in some of the most demanding sectors in the UK, this resonates with my own core values and I am excited to build upon the strong foundation laid by Neil.”
As Godel’s new CEO, Ainsworth envisions the next 12 months will be transformational with the rapidly evolving landscape of software development and the emergence of new technologies, confirming itself as the leading software development partner of choice for UK IT leaders.
Chairman Scott Fletcher said: “We are thrilled to welcome Gareth to the team. With his exceptional leadership skills and deep industry knowledge, we are confident in his ability to lead the business into a new era of growth and success whilst maintaining our absolute commitment to customer service.”
Writing on LinkedIn, Ainsworth said: “Just under 12 months ago, I took a leap of faith and started my sales coaching and mentoring business – Level 7 Performance.
“Although this was new and unchartered territory for me, it felt like the next natural step after 25 years in sales, culminating in six-and-a-half years as the group sales director at ANS.
“What an experience it has been. I’ve learnt so much in that short space of time, worked on me as a person and even did my coaching and mentoring certifications and feel privileged that I got to work with so many great people and organisations.
“My network of contacts and supporters (especially here on LinkedIn) have been instrumental to my success so thank you. The Level 7 brand will not be disappearing completely.”
He said taking on the role at Godel was a case of ‘stepping out of your comfort zone’.
He said: “Having known Godel for many years and having spent time with them recently, I have got to know their talented team really well. The leadership team want to accelerate their existing performance and really push for new growth. Customer relationships are paramount and this is something I love and am excited to be able to get started with right away.
“Joining Godel as CEO is an incredible opportunity and is a real life example of what stepping out of your comfort zone, setting yourself big goals and saying YES really looks like, and I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this new chapter. Thank you especially to Scott Fletcher MBE, Rob Nugent and Neil McMurdo for putting your faith in me.”
