FE fundinfo has bought UK fund-flow specialist Finscape in a move aimed at giving asset managers a clearer picture of how money is moving around the retail wealth market.
Finscape, set up in 2020 by Bella Caridade-Ferreira and Guy Edsall, has built a reputation for turning complicated distribution data into practical insight for asset managers, platforms and discretionary managers, drawing on information from more than 15 major UK retail platforms.
The acquisition means the company’s flow intelligence will be folded into FE fundinfo’s Nexus platform, creating what the buyer says will be the most comprehensive single view of UK fund flows available through one service.
The idea is to link “intent” data – what investors and advisers are researching or signalling they might buy – with the actual outcomes seen in platform transactions.
In practice, that should let investment managers track where flows are coming from, spot fund switches and understand why portfolio allocations are changing.
London-based FE fundinfo is positioning the combined product as a step forward for distribution strategy in a market where competition for assets is tight and regulation is heavy.

By bringing together leading indicators and real flow data, Nexus users should be able to react faster to shifts in demand, validate which channels and products are working, and make more confident sales and marketing decisions.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone for our vision to help investment managers distribute their products to the right wealth distribution channels leveraging real data-led intelligence,” said Liam Healy, CEO at FE fundinfo.
“By bringing Finscape into the fold, in combination with our recent acquisition of Contengo, we’re not only expanding our distribution insight capabilities, we’re redefining what it means to deliver value in today’s highly regulated, data-driven environment.
“We’re excited to welcome the Finscape team and to integrate their unique expertise and offerings into our Nexus platform, delivering growth more efficiently for asset managers.”
Bella Caridade-Ferreira, co-founder and joint managing director at Finscape, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to be joining FE fundinfo.
“From day one, our goal has been to deliver smarter, deeper insights to the industry, and this partnership gives us the tools and scale to do that faster.”
For existing Finscape customers, the company says its tools will remain available, but now via Nexus, so clients can keep using familiar features while gaining access to FE fundinfo’s wider datasets.
It was acquired from Equisoft, which will keep its pensions and investment software arm and continue focusing on the UK market.
