Our readers and an expert judging panel have together decided the 50 companies blazing a technology trail in finance.
The FinTech 50 celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original tech for payments and the financial industry.
Zuto, a Manchester company providing online car finance and loans, tops the ranking.
In second spot is London-based Paysafe, a payments platform with an extensive track record of serving merchants and consumers in the global entertainment sectors.
In third is My Digital, based in Cheadle Hulme, which was created to address challenges around payroll by harnessing automation and streamlining workflows to deliver unprecedented accuracy and speed.
Taking fourth position is Sheffield firm Bumper. An all-in-one payments platform for the automotive industry, it works with over 6,000 dealerships and garages, helping drivers to pay servicing and repair bills.
Collctiv, a group payments app, is fifth. The Manchester company helps group organisers collect money for activities and large gifts by enabling them to send just one link and receive payments in less than 5 seconds – regardless of the banking or payments platform their group uses.
London-based Blackbullion, which partners with universities to provide digital financial education to students, is sixth ahead of Hydr, a Manchester firm which provides a financial lifeline to businesses through selective debtor finance – a modern solution that puts them in complete control.
In ninth behind AccessPay is Cardiff’s Delio, creator of a suite of integrated or modular products which deliver an end-to-end private markets infrastructure trusted by the world’s leading financial institutions.
Also featuring is Snoop, a data-driven London FinTech designed to help customers save money, cut the cost of living and make better financial decisions.

BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 169-strong shortlist. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50.
