An ethical artificial intelligence firm based in Sweden has raised $20 million Series A funding to take its total investment to $34m.
Peltarion describes itself as the world leader in operational AI with a mission to advance humankind by making the technology affordable.
It provides services to governments, not-profits and businesses in a bid to solve world problems from food distribution to disease diagnostics.
Its solutions are used in cancer tumour segmentation, skin cancer detection, agriculture yield optimisation, DNA prediction and energy, among many other areas.
“AI is a technology that everyone should benefit from. Our mission is to make AI technology useable and affordable for all and this investment will help us to grow and scale in order to do more good in the world,” said Luka Crnkovic-Friis, CEO and co-founder of Peltarion.
The funding round was led by Euclidean Capital.
