An annual ranking of the 200 tech companies powering the UK’s public sector has been published.
Burendo tops the Tussell Tech200 ranking from techUK which celebrates the fastest-growing UK public sector tech suppliers.
In second spot in the ranking is fellow English IT consultancy Swift Strategies, followed by Romania SaaS firm MCB Soft.
HealthTech Thalamos and telecoms firm Teligent round out the top five, ahead of North East data consultancy Bulien (pictured, main image).
Headquartered in The Core at Newcastle Helix, Bulien specialises in helping public sector organisations be more productive and make more informed decisions by better utilising their data.
Since its launch in 2018 by founders David Westwood and Chris McEleavey, the company has grown rapidly, creating 18 jobs and working with clients across the UK.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised by Tussell and techUK as one of the nation’s fastest-growing tech suppliers to the public sector,” said Westwood.
“The achievement is in no small part to the hard work and dedication of all our technical and commercial teams, who are constantly receiving outstanding customer feedback in our public sector work in partnership with Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI.
“As the UK public sector continues to embrace the possibilities of no code and low code software, the projects we deliver have proven to save our clients both time and money, while boosting efficiency.
“From HR analytics to finance and predictive network analysis to fraud detection, our solutions have revolutionised how so many disciplines go about their day-to-day work and it doesn’t stop there.
“As we look ahead to 2025, our goal is very much to continue building on this success by changing the way more people and organisations look at data and help drive real positive change across the public sector. This is only the start.”
