Vibe Tickets founder Luke Massie has been announced as the face of Richard Branson’s business competition VOOM 2017.
The Lancashire-based managing director took his transparent ticketing app to the final of the competition last year and has received mentoring from the Virgin boss.
As part of VOOM 2017 and the arrival of Voom Fibre, Massie will present around the country on the VOOM bus tour.
“VOOM 2016 has played a huge part in our story, and the lessons that we’ve learned from the world’s most famous entrepreneur have massively contributed to our success,” said Massie.
“As a disruptive business, we’re excited to be part of the conversation that’s encouraging the UK’s next generation of entrepreneurs.”
Action packed morning!
Always is when @richardbranson‘s around. Richards helped myself & @VibeTickets a lot and for that I’m grateful #VOOM pic.twitter.com/xe1LZM8KKq— Luke Massie (@LukeMassie) May 2, 2017
The VOOM mobile festival of business, with a twist of rock ‘n’ roll, will be full of workshops, business advice and exciting pitches.
Massie spoke at our recent ‘Lancashire Powerhouse’ event and was among the 30 tech leaders to catch the maiden Virgin flight between Manchester and San Francisco for a Northern Powerhouse trade mission to Silicon Valley.
And we’re off. Over the next fortnight, we’ll be bringing the #VOOM to #London & #Manchester. Don’t miss the bus. https://t.co/v7fEDRsjWb ???? pic.twitter.com/qC3Ge86zbX
