The UK’s first digital human DJ has signed a record deal with Stockholm-based Star Stable Entertainment AB.

DJ Dex, represented by Denise Harris of Liverpool-based Sum Vivas, has been collaborating with leading music producers across Europe to craft a signature sound.

High-level conversations took place with global record labels before a deal with Star Stable was signed.

“Star Stable’s values, audience, and vision align flawlessly with Dex’s mission to empower and entertain a new generation,” said Harris.

“This partnership is more than a record deal – it marks a new cultural moment where music, technology, and storytelling fuse together.

“It resonates perfectly not only with Dex’s ethos, but also with Liverpool’s Music Futures programme – a bold five-year initiative positioning the Liverpool City Region as a global hub for innovation, sustainability, and R&D in music. This collaboration is exactly the kind of pioneering step that Music Futures is designed to support.”

Star Stable launched its music label in 2019 and its soundtracks are available on major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

DJ Dex will now join its artist roster, with tracks being integrated into the Star Stable universe ahead of immersive live shows across Europe.

Jimmy Wahlsteen, head of music at Star Stable, added: “I first encountered DJ Dex at Future Music Forum in Barcelona in 2023 and have been intrigued ever since.

“Dex’s collaborative approach with real producers and DJs, combined with her virtual identity, creates something uniquely engaging.

“Her sound is a blend of dance floor energy and emotional resonance that we know will resonate with our players. We’re excited to support Dex’s music career — from club tracks to live gigs.”
