A pre-IPO funding round of £3.7 million is to drive continued US expansion at Solihull startup Low6.

The sports betting platform has signed recent partnerships with NBA side Detroit Pistons, NFL teams Cincinnati Bengals – who reached the Super Bowl on Sunday night following a dramatic 27-24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs – and Jacksonville Jaguars, and golf’s flagship PGA TOUR.

The company plans to go public later this year.

“2021 was a successful year of growth for Low6, and the conclusion of our latest round of funding will allow us to accelerate our continued development in 2022,” said co-founder and group CEO Jamie Mitchell.

“Throughout 2021, we continued to build our products and service offering, enabling us to win new partners and significant new contracts.

“With these new funds secured, and a number of exciting new partners, we believe we are well placed to enjoy a successful 2022.”

Nicholas Lee, director of investor Pires Investments – an investor which is itself listed in London – added: “We are glad to note how successful 2021 was for the company, resulting in numerous new significant partnerships and contracts.

“We look forward to updating the market on Low6’s progress as it moves towards an IPO.”
