A South East-headquartered IT services provider has acquired a Yorkshire-based data centre, cloud and managed service specialist to create a combined business with projected revenues of £80 million.

Roc Technologies, based in Newbury and backed by Business Growth Fund (BGF), has acquired Esteem Systems for an undisclosed sum.

Esteem Systems, established in 1985, is headquartered in Wetherby with additional offices in Woking and Glasgow. The firm is an infrastructure and services partner in the public and private sector with significant traction in local government, retail, higher education, legal, health and energy.

“I am delighted to be able to welcome Esteem Systems and our new colleagues into the Roc family,” said Roc Technologies CEO Matt Franklin.

“Our strategy at Roc is simple; to become the most valuable partner in our customers digital transformation strategy, and through that value-driven customer relationship, drive Roc’s growth and reputation in the market.”

The enlarged company will have a projected turnover of £80 million in 2019 and 350 employees across offices in Newbury, London, Wetherby and Glasgow, as well as managed service centres in Newbury and Woking.
