IT infrastructure product provider Softcat has appointed Robyn Perriss as non-executive director.
Perriss has spent the last 6 years as finance director at Rightmove place, and previously held senior roles such as financial controller for Auto Trader.
She qualified as a chartered accountant in South Africa and worked in both audit and transaction services.
Peter Ventress has advised the board of Softcat plc of his intention to step down as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 31 December 2019.
This follows his decision to accept the role of non-executive director and chairman-designate of Bunzl plc.

“She brings extensive and relevant experience in both finance and strategic roles within a dynamic, fast paced and progressive environment.
“We look forward to her contribution to the Board both generally and more specifically as chair of the Company’s Audit Committee.”
Commenting on Peter Ventress’ decision to step back from the board, he added: “Peter has made a very significant contribution to the Board since joining us in 2015.
“However, we fully understand the attraction of the role he has been offered and the subsequent medium term need for Peter to step off the Softcat board.
