BusinessCloud can reveal its EnviroTech 50 innovation ranking for 2024.

Readers of the online technology publication and an expert judging panel have together decided the 50 companies blazing a technology trail in green technology.

Published alongside the 2024 EnviroTech Insights report, the EnviroTech 50 – supported by digital transformation experts Sputnik Digital – celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original technology for use in green energy, to protect the environment and boost sustainability.

IPG Energy, which has developed a green replacement for diesel generators in difficult-to-decarbonise industries, tops the ranking.

The London firm – backed by academic institutions, government agencies and pioneering manufacturing and commercial partners – has patented Flameless Combustion technology to guarantee access to clean, on-demand power from any fuel.

Mission Zero Technologies (London) is in second spot.

In third is Liverpool-based PIN IoT, which digitises the collection process for the waste and recycling industry.

Its skip tracking system enables a fully automated, real-time oversight of operations, enabling customers to speed up their collection process whilst operating more efficiently and sustainably.

LoweConex (Lisburn) and Better Origin (Cambridge) complete the top five.

BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 117-strong shortlist. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50. 

The judging panel was comprised of:

• Joel Blake OBE, founder & CEO, GFA Exchange

• Jonathan Symcox, editor, BusinessCloud
