A Bristol ‘FinTech for good’ firm has appointed a new chief commercial officer.

Marcus Ferguson Jones, previously Commercial Director for Totally Money, has joined LOQBOX, which allows users to improve their credit history by saving a set amount every year, which they pay off like a loan.

Having held senior positions with Lloyds TSB, AIG and Phones4U, his experience includes building awardwinning products for multiple businesses and driving change in high growth, earlystage multi-channel eCommerce businesses.

He has been working alongside LOQBOX since they launched in 2017 as an advisor and consultant and now joins one of the UK’s fastest growing FinTechs on a permanent basis.

Gregor Mowat, co-founder and co-CEO of LOQBOX, said: “We have brought Marcus on board at a crucial time in our journey.

Over the next few months, we will be announcing some significant steps towards our global mission to end financial exclusion. Marcus will play a pivotal role in our global expansion and his knowledge and expertise is a great asset to the LOQBOX commercial team.

Ferguson Jones said: “I have been working with LOQBOX on an advisory basis for a number of years and have experienced first-hand how this mission-driven, FinTech works with a strong strategic focus on helping people to become financially included.

I am thrilled to be a part of the next phase of the LOQBOX story and with the strong commercial team already in place, we are excited for the challenges ahead.”
