The CFO of N Brown Group Plc is to step down from the role after less than three years.

Rachel Izzard joined the eCommerce retailer in January 2020 as part of an executive shakeup after more than four years as CFO of airline brand Aer Lingus. 

A figure with more than two decades of experience in financial positions at British Airways and International Airlines Group, London-listed N Brown said she would be leaving “to take up a career opportunity outside of the online fashion and consumer credit industry”.

She will work her 12-month notice period. N Brown has begun the search for her successor.

Last month the fashion retailer, which has a call centre in Manchester and main warehouse on the outskirts of the city, reported a slump in half-year revenues and profits among lower orders and website visits.

It blamed “more caution from consumers around discretionary spending, record low consumer confidence and an ongoing reduction in disposable incomes”.

It projected adjusted cash profits for 2023 to come in at around £60 million, having previously forecast profits of £87m, the level in 2021.

The business’s share price of £24 has almost halved in a year and gives it a current market cap of around £111m.
