Ashley Wood took full ownership of the world’s first iGaming-specific conversion solution, iConvert, just months ago and the Teesside-based firm is now scaling faster than ever.

The 28-year-old, who is head of one of iGaming’s fastest-growing companies after completing a management buyout in 2024, is now trying to prove that big businesses don’t have to come from big-name locations like Silicon Valley and London.

Since launching in 2019, the company has quietly become a powerhouse in iGaming conversion, working with over 140 brands across 50 countries, helping operators increase player engagement, boost deposits, and slash acquisition costs

To date, it has generated over 3 million new customers for its clients.

Since Wood took full control, iConvert has already generated £500,000 in turnover and is on track to hit £1.5m in revenue this year, with a projected £1m EBITDA, all with a team of just five people.

“Our success proves you don’t need a massive team or a flashy HQ to build something that delivers real impact,” he said.

“iConvert has always been about efficiency, results, and cutting through the noise, and that’s exactly how we run the business.”

Alongside rapid growth, iConvert has refined its strategy, shifting to an exclusive client base, working only with the biggest and most ambitious names in iGaming.

Wood continued: “Our focus is simple, work with the best and deliver the best.

“The brands we partner with don’t just want more traffic; they want more players, better conversions, and real results. That’s what we do, and that’s why we’re growing so fast.”

“We’re scaling internationally, building something huge from a place people wouldn’t expect.

“No London, no Silicon Valley – just real results, a strong team, and a business that works.
