Manchester telecoms firm expansion creates 150 jobs

The rapid expansion of Manchester-based telecommunications provider Verastar continues with the creation of 150 new jobs.

Following six successful acquisitions in 2016, the new roles will based across offices in Bristol, Hamilton and its Manchester headquarters.

CEO Chris Earle said: “The expanded team we are building for next year will be vital to our ongoing success.

“Verastar has been a clear leader in business telecommunication services. We are delighted to welcome 3D Telecom’s customers, and we look forward to providing them with an enhanced range of great value services.

“We really understand how small businesses work, and how much they value being able to source multiple services from one provider.

“Customer service is at the heart of Verastar and we are looking forward to hiring and training Verastar’s team to meet the needs of the country’s small businesses.”

The latest acquisition was of 3D Telecom’s customer base, which followed the purchases of OVO Energy (commercial customers), October 2016; The Insurance Octopus, July 2016; The Media Octopus, July 2016; Crown Telecom Solutions, February 2016; and Business Comms Solution, March 2016.
