Leeds-based digital solutions provider UX Global (UXG) has expanded into a 14,000 sq ft design and production facility and increased its headcount by a third to 29, as the company continues to implement its strategic growth plan.

Established in 1983 as Unicam and rebranded in 2017, UXG designs and manufactures bespoke digital, LED and retail solutions for branded environments. It counts retail group Sports Direct, electrical and technology group Dixons Carphone, and Bradford’s newest shopping centre, The Broadway, among its clients.

Located on Low Lane in Horsforth, UXG’s new facility is 40 per cent larger than its previous base on Kirkstall Road and has enabled the company to increase its production capability and continue a significant recruitment drive.

UXG has hired seven new recruits across highly-skilled design, technology and project roles, marking a headcount growth of a third and bringing the company’s total to 29.

Recent senior hires include head of development, Paul Midwood, who brings 16 years’ experience in corporate identity and visual solutions. Michael Wall has also joined the company as production manager with a wealth of experience in the digital arena, to help UXG to deliver a raft of new business wins and existing projects.

The facility has also enabled UXG to launch a state-of-the-art interactive technology showroom. Showcasing the latest LED and video walls and interactive tables and screen, the new showroom is used by UXG for client demos and new business.

“We have quickly built an outstanding reputation as a multifaceted, full-service digital partner. This means we are winning repeat business and generating new opportunities in every sector we target,” said UXG chairman Gary Williams.

“What sets UXG apart is our ability to deliver a powerful combination of impactful technology and excellent customer service. This turns regular stores into compelling branded retail environments, which ultimately increases footfall, engagement and sales.”

“UXG has ambitious plans to grow the business further over the coming months and years. Our strategic growth plan will see us win more business from the digital marketplace, recruit more talent from across the region and continue delivering our distinct approach.”
