Four leading fashion tech entrepreneurs are set to speak at a virtual event next week.

The CEOs of Didimo, By Rotation, Dressipi and TOSHI will discuss data, immersive tech and sustainability in fashion at 11am on Wednesday 23rd September.

Meet the fashion tech trailblazers

Dressipi co-founder Donna North has built a business which claims to hold the largest and most accurate customer and garment dataset in the industry, powering billions of product and outfit predictions every year.

Working with high street brands John Lewis, River Island and Topshop, it predicts what customers will buy and not return. River Island says customers who interact with its personalised content are twice as likely to convert to a purchase, while their average order value increases by an average of 20 per cent.

Eshita Kabra was inspired to build the UK’s largest fashion rental app By Rotation after witnessing the effects of textile waste during her honeymoon in Rajasthan, India.

The peer-to-peer app, which launched in October 2019 and has a focus on sustainability, has now amassed more than 27,000 users from all over the UK.

Sojin Lee, a founding member of Net-a-Porter, founded TOSHI in 2017 to bring the service customers might expect in a luxury boutique to their home environment. Its client list includes Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Erdem, Huntsman, Christopher Kane, Roland Mouret and Galvan.

TOSHI’s data and CRM opportunities also drive higher revenues, increased average order values and reduction in returns.

Veronica Orvalho’s Didimo allows people to create a digital human – didimo – which looks, speaks and acts like them from a selfie in just a few seconds.

Solutions such as this instil trust and empathy in digital communication and are key to sectors such as fashion.

How is an industry ripe for disruption now embracing data, immersive and other technologies?
