IT upgrade boosts sales conversions at CVP

An eCommerce store has seen sales conversions leap 30 per cent overnight following a server upgrade.

Broadcast and professional video solutions provider CVP reported the increase on its site after the upgrade delivered by Manchester-based hosting firm UKFast.

As part of a Business Continuity Platform from UKFast, the next-generation PCIe NVMe cards deliver speeds up to six times faster than traditional enterprise-grade SSDs.

CVP provides hardware from manufacturers like ARRI, Sony, RED and Canon to professional videographers, photographers and broadcasters.

CVP sales director Jon Sry said: “Our eCommerce offering is becoming an ever-more important part of our overall business.

“Our old website and infrastructure were beginning to show their age and our in-house team worked closely with UKFast to deliver this new site. Our page load time has been cut in half and that’s having a direct impact on our bottom line.

“With a very high average order value, we are talking about an incredible return on investment on our IT upgrade.”

Hosting for more than 5,000 clients, UKFast specialises in delivering optimised eCommerce environments for online retailers including Missy Empire, Footasylum and Charlotte Tilbury.

UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: “In my opinion, the single most important thing you need to consider in eCommerce is the speed of your website.

“It doesn’t matter how beautiful the design is, how strong your messaging is or how amazing your product is if the site takes too long to load.

“Speed is proven to deliver better user experience, higher conversions, more engagement and higher search rankings. It’s great to see this proven in practice by CVP’s increase in conversions.

“When you consider how competitive the online marketplace is these days, every second counts.”

UKFast offers cloud services, dedicated hosting and colocation, alongside cyber security solutions.
