Warehousing and logistics specialist Indigo Software has struck a deal with a Philippines tech group – the first customer win for its Asian subsidiary.
Ionics EMS Inc, which is based in Laguna, provides electronic manufacturing services and original design management services.
The firm has invested in Indigo Asia Pacific’s Warehouse Management Systems to streamline its processes following international growth.
Describing a big ‘win’ for the firm, Indigo CEO Mike Hill said: “Ionics is an innovative group of companies with ambitious plans for the future.
“Indigo WMS provides a perfect fit for the warehouse management requirements and we are delighted to be working with them.”
Supply chain consultants from Indigo – which is based in Durham – will also be working with the company to ensure it is prepared for its next phase of growth.
This includes inventory management, enhancing stock receiving processes, increasing stock visibility and implementing industry best practice processes.
Ionics said it expects to see a full return on its capital investment in less than 12 months and achieve significant long-term efficiencies and business improvements.
