A free webinar featuring an array of top speakers will reveal the secrets of a successful trade sale.

If you ever plan to sell your business, you must build long-term wealth into it by cutting through the complexity.

That’s the message from award-winning consultancy Biramis Management Partners, which helps business owners focus on the four essential performance pillars to smart, strategic and sustained growth, profit and wealth creation.

Four-fifths of company owners see their business as their eventual retirement plan, yet nearly half admit to not having an exit plan in place – so it’s no wonder so many founders end up exiting without taking full advantage of the move.

The free webinar, which takes place on Thursday February 25th from 12 noon until 1pmfrom Biramis and fullservice business law firm ByrneWallace LLP will cover how this is done when selling to an external buyer. Sign up at the link below.

Christiane Hutchinson (pictured below), founder and CEO of Biramishas over 25 years’ experience in strategic management consulting, and a global career spanning across France, Japan, the UK and Ireland.

“When we start a business it’s because we want to create wealth for ourselves, our families and our employees, but 65% of businesses fail to survive the first three years,” she said.

“There can be many reasons for that, but a lack of focus on wealth creation is a major issue with leaders in small businesses usually having to multitask to get things done and to react to the everyday problems that always crop up.

“Too often entrepreneurs can burst out of the wealth creation starting blocks only to stumble and fall. So often I’ve heard business owners say ‘my business is my pension’ but they actually don’t do anything about it to make that happen, they just hope the market is going to give them the value they want.

That’s almost never the case, so our services support them to grow their business value. The earlier you start building value for your ‘pension’, the more you will get.

At Biramis we offer a laser-guided focus on our clients’ wealth because we know how crucial that focus is and how difficult it is for business leaders to maintain it.

Valerie Moran, the only black female to ever make the Sunday Times’ Rich List, will join Christiane on the webinar chaired by Resolve Ireland and Biramis Ireland chairman Turlough O’Sullivan.

In 2020, Valerie exited Prepaid Financial Services, the company she founded and built up into one of the world’s leading FinTech providers with her husband Noel, in a £281 million deal.

Valerie, a Financial Times FT 100 BAME Leader and Official Member of the Forbes Business Development Council, is now building up another FinTech, eCOMM Merchant Solutions, with Noel.

The other speakers will be Neil Keenanpartner and head of corporate at full-service business law firm ByrneWallace LLP; Stirling Austin, who has created, managed, sold, acquired and merged a number of manufacturing and distribution businesses across Europe, including starting four companies and two business units from scratch; Michelle Walshe, who spearheaded the sale of the M&M Walshe Group; and Ronan Byrne, a highly experienced CEO and commercial leader of multiple companies over the last two decades who has specialised in start-up, proactive growth and development through to exit, having built up and sold three companies to large multinationals.

Webinar: Planning for a successful business sale

It is the first in a three-part series featuring a number of business figures who will share their exit planning journeys. Founders can access invaluable insights on how to maximise the personal wealth you can gain from a successful exit whether that is through trade sale, management buyout (see webinar no.2) or passing the business on to a family member (see webinar no.3).
