Gaming startup Fateless has secured a fresh £5.9m in funding, bringing its total raise to £10.3m as it gears up for the global launch of its debut title, Godforge, in early 2026.
Led by a team of gaming veterans and community creators, the Worthing-based firm is looking to build a cross-platform role-playing game (RPG) that blends strategic hero collection with cinematic visuals and a strong community focus.
The game, which recently entered Alpha with a mode called Caverns of Chaos, is designed to test its core gameplay and player retention systems ahead of its full release.
The funding has been driven largely by the HH Gaming community (best known via www.hellhades.com) and its loyal player base, which includes over 2m users across YouTube, Discord and other platforms.
Founded by Simon “HellHades” Lockerby, Dan “Phixion” Francis and Hisham “Sham” Saleh, the studio is aiming to become a community-led developer that raises the bar for quality in the RPG and hero collector genre.

The founding team brings experience in both content creation and game development and has been focused on making players a key part of the process from day one.
Set in a richly designed world, Godforge lets players harness the powers of legendary gods, myths, and creatures from different factions.
With a focus on strategy and player feedback, the game aims to bring a fresh take to the hero collector genre.
“With an already engaged and proven audience of over 2 million players across our YouTube channels, website, Discord and social media, we’re excited and confident that Godforge will help evolve the hero collector genre for the next generation of players,” said CEO Lockerby.
“More importantly, the community has already expressed great belief in the game by helping us raise $6m of funds during our initial startup phase and was a major contributor to our latest round.”
