Ex-Royal Mail CTO Jochen Alt is to lead AI firm Greyparrot’s tech team, the company has announced.
Alt is one of a series of strategic hires which also includes talent from Huawei, Any Vision, Ocado, Cisco and Microsoft.
The London-based firm has created waste recognition software that identifies materials using AI-based computer vision to monitor, audit and sort waste at scale.
Alt brings to the role a track record of successfully implementing large-scale projects of up to £30m in T-Systems, Royal Mail, Deutsche Bank and DB Systems.
Alt will be responsible for driving Greyparrot’s large scale development of computer vision based waste analytics products to increase recycling rates,
