It looks like your run-of-the-mill watch, but could be the key to keeping you calm and focused in stressful situations.
Using natural biorhythms, Doppel creates a pulse felt on the inside of your wrist like a heartbeat.
The device’s vibration motor works with your body’s response rhythm. Its designers claim this can alter how the wearer feels, on demand.
Doppel’s Jack Hooper claims a faster beat makes the user feel more alert, while a slower one relaxes them.
Demonstrating the product at Innovate 2016, he told video reporter Aleksis Williams: “The way it does that is very similar to the way music can change how you feel.
“An upbeat song will get you going, a downbeat song will make you feel calm.”
Following a Kickstarter campaign, the Doppel watch will launch in early January for financial backers then be made available to the general public soon afterwards.
It will retail at approximately £143, but there is a discount during the pre-order phase.
