Deloitte is to launch four regional technology delivery centres which it says will create hundreds of jobs across the UK.
The centres, part of Deloitte’s technology & transformation business, will be operational from 1st June 2025 in strategic growth locations in Belfast, Cardiff, Manchester and Newcastle.
The centres will initially bring together 750 of the firm’s existing highly skilled technologists to design, build and run technology solutions that address the evolving needs of UK businesses.
This will include designing apps, cloud engineering, and embedding AI into software, devices or systems.
Alongside investment in people and skills, Deloitte’s technology centres are expected to grow and double the number of people to 1,500 in the next three years, with multi-year technical training programmes made available.
“This new venture reinforces our focus on being the undisputed leader in business transformation and technology, our commitment to digital skills and regional growth, as well as our support to the UK’s wider ambition to be a global technology leader,” said Rob Cullen, managing partner for technology & transformation at Deloitte UK.

“As businesses reimagine themselves in the face of huge changes in technology, our dedicated technology centres represent a significant milestone in how we better serve our clients, delivering leading-edge solutions that are fit for the future.
“This investment accelerates our ambition to become the largest onshore technology capability in UK. I’m hugely excited about the investment we’re making in our technologists and delivery specialists here in the UK. Our centres will be a magnet for the best technology talent, offering rewarding careers at the forefront of innovation.”
‘The best thing a business can do is forget AI exists’ – tech CEO
The announcement was made today in Belfast by senior partner and CEO of Deloitte UK, Richard Houston, alongside Northern Ireland’s First Minister, Michelle O’Neill, and deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly, who officially opened Deloitte’s new Belfast office.
Deloitte Belfast already employs over 1,000 people, and the new technology solutions centre in Belfast is set to be the largest of the firm’s technology centres, creating an extra 500 new jobs over the next three years.
Richard Bray, managing partner, regions, at Deloitte added: “Investing across the UK is a priority for Deloitte, and our technology centres are key to this ongoing commitment. I’m particularly excited about the opportunities these centres create for people wanting to start a new career in technology.
“We chose the North East as the pilot last year, initially hiring in a 25-strong cohort from a diverse pool of over 500 applicants – including individuals without prior technology experience, veterans, and those returning to work after a career break.
“We’ve since grown further in the North East and I look forward to welcoming many more talented individuals to Deloitte as we grow our business throughout the UK and create jobs for the future.”
