Ethereum, the world’s second most valuable crypto, set a new all-time high on Friday morning.
ETH reached $4,402 and is worth $4,318 at the time of writing (7am UK) after an 8% rise in the last 24 hours.
The smart contract blockchain platform is 5% up over seven days.
There is some confusion over SHIBA INU, with many exchanges placing it above Dogecoin – the meme coin it was spun off from – in the cryptocurrency valuation table, while others have it slightly behind.
SHIB, an Ethereum-based spinoff from Dogecoin, gained around 9% in the last 24 hours and is up a massive 166% in a week.
DOGE, meanwhile, gained 11% to sit around 29 cents, which puts it 18% up over seven days.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) is close to $61,000 after a 3% gain and down 3% on last Friday morning.
Polkadot (DOT) rose 4% to almost $43, which leaves it 5% down over seven days.
Cardano (ADA) sits at $2 thanks to a 3% rise and is down 9% in a week, while Ripple’s XRP is at $1.06 after climbing 5%. XRP is 4% down over seven days.
Solana (SOL), which hit an all-time high of $213 a week ago, is at $198 following a 4% climb in the last 24 hours.
Binance Coin (BNB) gained 7% to $491, up 3% in a week.
The overall market cap of the more than 13,300 coins is at $2.61 trillion after a 4.8% rise in the last 24 hours.
