A resurgent cryptocurrency market gained $200 billion over the weekend.
The overall market cap of the more than 17,300 coins is at $1.96 trillion at the time of writing (7am UK) , up from $1.76tn on Friday morning.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) moved from below $38,000 on Friday to above $42,700 and is 15% up over seven days.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, is closing on $3,100 having stood below $2,800 on Friday. ETH is 23% up on its price a week ago.
Solana (SOL) grew from $106 to $118 and is 31% up in a week, while Terra (LUNA) flew from around $51.50 to above $58.50 and is 33% up over seven days.
Avalanche (AVAX) gained more than $13 to reach $83.36, with a seven-day price increase of 28%.
Polkadot (DOT) is at $22.35, having stood at $19.29 three days ago, and is 29% up over seven days.
Ripple (XRP) gained 12 cents to top 74c, with a seven-day price up 27%, while Cardano (ADA) is at $1.16, 9c higher than Friday and 14% up in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE), which was just above 14c three days ago, is closing on 16c and is 15% up on its price last Monday morning.
Binance Coin (BNB) is at $428, up from $377 on Friday – a 16% gain over seven days.
