Avalanche and Polkadot were the biggest gainers among the major cryptocurrency coins in the last 24 hours.
A 5% increase for Avalanche (AVAX) puts it at $72.71 at the time of writing (7am UK), 8% higher than its price last Wednesday.
Polkadot (DOT) added 4% to top $20 and is 7% up over seven days.
Terra (LUNA) was the only major coin to lose value, dropping 2% after a 19% boost in the previous 24-hour period. Its volatility recently is evidenced by the fact that it is the only major to be down (18%) over seven days.
Solana (SOL) followed a massive 17% jump from Monday into Tuesday with a further 3% rise to $109, which puts it 15% up in a week.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, added 1% to $2,760. ETH is 12% up on its price a week ago.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) is at $38,400 following a slight gain and is 3% up over seven days.
Ripple (XRP) climbed 1% to above 63 cents and is more or less where it was a week ago, while Cardano (ADA) added 2% to $1.08 and is 3% up in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) remained above 14c and is 1% up on its price a week ago.
Binance Coin (BNB) is at $382, more or less where it was both 24 hours ago and this time last Wednesday.
The overall market cap of the more than 17,200 coins is at $1.77 trillion, a 0.9% increase in the last 24 hours.
