Yield Coin, the cryptocurrency start-up founded by 27-year-old UK entrepreneur and trader Samuel Leach, has been hand-picked to join Google’s Accelerator Growth programme.

Launched by Google in 2017, the programme is designed to help start-ups increase growth in today’s digital economy and provides free resource support and programmes designed for communities who are currently underrepresented online.

During the programme, Google will support Yield Coin in increasing user growth and website traffic to its new social networking platform Yield Owl.

The educational platform brings together traders and investors and aims to create stronger relationships within the global crypto-trading community.

“It’s encouraging to see that Google has overturned its previous position on cryptocurrencies and accepted us onto the Accelerator Growth programme,” said Leach.

In the first five days of the accelerator programme, video views and impressions of the CEO’s YouTube channel have increased to two million and 30 million respectively.

The number of subscribers has also surpassed the 17,000 mark, an increase of nearly 50 per cent in the same time period.

This has also translated to “significant tangible success” for the Yield Owl Platform, Leach said, with 40 to 75 new users joining the platform each day in only the last five days.

Leach added: “We’re really excited to be working with them to rapidly drive sign-ups to Yield Owl.

“It’s always been our vision to create a holistic networking platform that educates and unites the trading community, creating new opportunities for crypto traders and enthusiasts worldwide, and Google’s support in us is invaluable in achieving this goal.”
