HR technology company Connectr has appointed a former key figure at the Institute of Directors as its chief commercial officer.
Emma Hicks, former head of professional development at the IoD, will lead Connectr’s commercial strategy, expanding its partner network and extending its impact on candidate and employee users across UK and global businesses.
Founded in 2010, Connectr’s mission is to give every person equal power and opportunity to shape their future, offering more future and existing talent access to a virtual mentoring network alongside its expansion.
Hicks joins the just 22% of female leaders who hold C-Suite positions in UK technology firms.
“Having dedicated my career to optimising the learning and progression strategies of organisations from all industries and sectors, I have huge admiration for Connectr’s commitment to utilising technology to deliver impact at scale,” she said.
“I am delighted to drive their mission in making mentoring accessible for all. As a mentee and mentor, I deeply value the power mentoring has on my own development and confidence – both professionally and personally.
