A newly listed tech startup is aiming to become the go-to marketplace where businesses and individuals can find AI agents.

London-based sundae_bar began trading on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange after its admission on June 3rd.

The company, led by Jill Kenney, is creating infrastructure to help AI developers launch, scale and monetise intelligent agents, whilst helping organisations of all sizes deploy them safely.

After spending the majority of her career based in Canada, Kenney has also become one of the first female tech founders to list on the AIM market.

“Just like we’ve seen in the rise of eCommerce platforms, we’re building the infrastructure for AI developers to bring their intelligent AI agents to market, scale them, and earn revenue,” she told BusinessCloud.

“There are brilliant developers building powerful AI agents, but no clear, trusted route to monetisation.

“On the other side, businesses are eager to adopt AI but struggle to find reliable, secure solutions.

“We’re bridging that gap by offering a unified marketplace where AI agents can be discovered, tested, and seamlessly integrated into workflows.”

An AIM and an ambition

While some tech firms eye larger stock exchanges, sundae_bar’s decision to go public on AIM was deliberate.

Kenney continued: “It’s the UK’s most established growth market, especially for innovative technology companies like ours.

“We’ve also observed a growing enthusiasm in the UK, both from investors and within government, to back real, applied AI innovation.

“The timing couldn’t be better either. We’re at a turning point for AI Agent technology, and the capital we’ve raised through this listing empowers us to accelerate our platform’s development and establish a crucial first-mover advantage in this rapidly emerging space.”

A CEO refusing to be overlooked

Experienced tech entrepreneur Kenney previously co-founded Paidia Gaming, a startup focused on women gamers – an overlooked segment that nonetheless makes up nearly half of the gaming population.

“That experience taught me the power of identifying underserved markets,” she explained.

“Now with sundae_bar, I’m applying those same principles to the fragmented AI agent marketplace, creating infrastructure that empowers developers while giving businesses trusted access to AI solutions.

“Being a woman CEO means building not just successful companies, but pathways for others to follow.”

Embracing AI and not fearing it

With growing public concern about AI’s potential impact on jobs, sundae_bar is working to reframe the conversation.

What does it take to be a modern entrepreneur in 2025?

Kenney believes in accepting that AI is here to stay and is of the opinion that we need to accept that as a society.

She said: “We need to view them (AI agents) as collaborators, not competitors, and when harnessed correctly, they can be a powerful tool for the workforce.

“It is this philosophy which is central to our mission to foster seamless, trustworthy agent-human collaboration at scale.

“We’re already seeing this in action with digital workers assisting marketing teams in crafting campaigns overnight, or agents helping recruiters sift through thousands of CVs in seconds.

“These tools aren’t replacing human ingenuity. They are augmenting our capabilities, allowing teams to achieve more, faster, and concentrate on higher-value work.

“Like any major technological shift, thoughtful adoption is necessary and our platform is designed to make that adoption simpler, safer, and more transparent, ensuring AI empowers people rather than reduces their roles.”

Becoming the go-to destination

Early adopters of the female-led startup include entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs in sectors such as recruitment, marketing and financial services, where repetitive workflows can be enhanced through automation.

However, the potential is not limited to a few sectors and Kenney sees an opportunity for the firm to scale.

“Our immediate focus is on scaling the platform,” the CEO said.

“This means actively onboarding high-quality developers, significantly expanding our AI Agent directory, and cultivating a trusted community and brand centred around agent-human collaboration.

“Looking further ahead, our vision is for sundae_bar to become the definitive infrastructure layer for AI agent commerce.

“We aim to be the go-to destination where developers launch their innovative agents, and where businesses and individuals come to discover and implement the precise AI solutions they need. This isn’t just a short-term venture; we’re building for sustained scale and lasting impact.”

When the company initially listed on 3rd June, it had a share price of 8.5p, which has now slightly risen to 10.96p.
