BusinessCloud has surpassed the total number of unique users to its website for the whole of 2024 – with five months still to go.

In July, 58k people visited the website, bringing the total number of unique users for 2025 to 490k – more than the 477k achieved for the whole of last year.

July’s performance represents a 77 per cent increase on the 2024 figure as BusinessCloud closes in on its target to hit one million unique users in 2025.

Other highlights from July included publication of our popular HealthTech innovation list; the release of five more episodes of our Northern Leaders podcast; and the soft launch of Northern Leaders 2025.”

We also partnered with GM Business Growth Hub to host our latest roundtable at Allied London’s impressive new Campfield building in Manchester to discuss some of the challenges facing the tech sector.

BusinessCloud editor Jonathan Symcox said: “July might be the start of the school summer holidays but it’s been another busy month at BusinessCloud.

“They say ‘the time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining’ and we’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to improve our systems and processes to support our future growth. This has included improving the performance of our website.

“We continued to attract record website traffic throughout July on the back of exclusive stories like THG founder Matt Moulding launching a ferocious attack on Barclays for their decision to appoint Alex Ham as global chairman of investment banking.

“In addition we sent tech reporter Patrick Killeen to Leeds for two days to cover Climb 25 and he produced a series of insightful articles.

“July also saw a significant increase in our newsletter subscribers and the soft launch of Northern Leaders 2025.”

Rochdale-based BusinessCloud is co-owned by Symcox and executive editor Chris Maguire. The pair were joined by tech reporter Patrick Killeen in January.
