Peter Jones is the longest-serving – and longest-standing – Dragon, having joined the first series of the BBC show way back in 2005.
Standing at over two metres tall, Jones has a reputation as a successful businessman., setting up his own computer business aged 17 which enabled him to become a millionaire by 21.
The business tycoon was appointed as a CBE in 2009 for services to business, entrepreneurship and young people. In 2021, The Sunday Times Rich List estimated his net worth to be somewhere around £1.157bn.
The Chelsea fan has also appeared on the US version of Dragons’ Den, Shark Tank. He has invested in countless businesses during his time on the show, the most notable of which would arguably be Levi Roots’s Reggae Reggae Sauce.
In 2025 the founder of Choppity expressed disappointment that he hadn’t followed up on an investment deal agreed on-air.
