Bidstack, a listed company providing technology for advertising within videogames, has appointed a Silicon Valley veteran as CTO and CPO.

The London company said Glen Ames is a global product and technology advisor with over 25 years of experience.

He has spent 20 years in California’s Silicon Valley, working at major technology companies including Nortel, Yahoo, AOL, AT&T and Turn.

Ames has also worked with early-stage businesses, having sold two startups, and worked for several pre-IPO high-growth companies. He has 12 patents to his name.

More recently he spent five years as CTO/CPO at Captify Technologies, a fast-growing digital media business with the largest independent publisher network in Europe.

The appointment, which is not a board position, will allow Francesco Petruzzelli, Bidstack’s current CTO, to become managing director and focus on the group’s relationships with key customers.

Why size doesn’t matter if you want to grow internationally

“Glen joins us with over 25 years’ experience of building out product and technology teams for some of the biggest names in the advertising and enterprise platform industries.  We are pleased that we are now able to attract talent of Glen’s calibre,” said CEO James Draper.

“This is proof that the company is maturing well and the further use-cases for our technology are becoming increasingly apparent. It has become clear that, whilst we began in pure advertising technology, there are other applications for our software which we can now focus on.

“With Glen in place, Francesco Petruzzelli will step up to become managing director and oversee the roll-out of our platform across key customers, whilst ensuring our relationship with Azerion on the media-side of the business, continues to grow.”
