A filmmaker living with Hunter syndrome has launched a global online video editing platform.
After eight years creating content for international brands, Leeds-based Jake Logan has launched Banger Edits, a web app giving creators and businesses worldwide access to professional video editing without agency retainers.
Jake was diagnosed with MPS II, commonly known as Hunter syndrome, at the age of 11. The rare inherited condition can cause progressive physical health problems and varies significantly from one person to another.
While managing the realities of the condition, he built a career in filmmaking that has taken him from local productions in Leeds to international projects for major brands, hotels, athletes and public figures.
During more than eight years running Jake’s Films and JF Visuals, Jake has created work connected with brands including Versace, EA Sports, Hilton, InterContinental, W Hotels, Six Senses, Father & Sons and Hype. His portfolio has also included projects involving leading athletes and professional boxers.
The idea for Banger Edits came from a problem Jake repeatedly saw across the creative industry: businesses and creators were able to film content but struggled to edit it consistently. Traditional agency retainers could be expensive, freelance availability was unpredictable and managing feedback through email and messaging apps slowed projects down.

“I have spent years seeing great footage sit on phones, cameras and hard drives because people either do not have time to edit it or cannot find somebody reliable,” says Jake. “Banger Edits was built to make that part simple.
“You send us the footage, tell us what you want and get back a video that is ready to post.”
Through the Banger Edits’ web app, customers anywhere in the world can upload clips or share a Google Drive link, submit a short brief and choose the appropriate editing level. A vetted editor then completes the project, with the first version delivered within 72 hours.
The online portal keeps submission, communication, review, revisions and final delivery together. Customers leave feedback on the exact frame that needs changing through the built-in timeline.
The worldwide platform covers short-form social content, YouTube videos, podcasts, paid advertising, graphics and AI-led creative projects. Individual short-form edits start from $75, with no mandatory retainer or long-term contract. Monthly options are also available for customers who need regular output.
Banger Edits reports a 4.9 average rating and more than 300 completed video edits. One of its early client edits passed 100,000 organic views within a week, accompanied by a significant increase in sales for the client.
The company says it accepts only the strongest 16% of editors who apply to work through the platform.
“Living with Hunter syndrome has made me conscious that time matters. I want to spend mine creating, building and helping other people do the same,” says Jake. “Banger Edits takes a job that can consume somebody’s evenings and gives that time back to them.”
