The price of Ripple’s XRP coin has climbed 12% in 24 hours to $1.54 – 45% higher than its position a week ago.

It has emerged that the blockchain payments company is considering listing its shares publicly after settling its dispute with the US financial market regulator over the status of XRP.

At the time of writing (7am), Bitcoin was up marginally in the 24-hour period to rise above $54,000, 9% up on its price a week ago.

Ethereum (ETH) is at $2,770, up 1.9% (24 hours) and 24% (7 days).

Headline-grabbing Dogecoin – created as a joke – fell back 1.4% in 24 hours but is up 46% on last Friday morning’s price.

The biggest climber was Venus (XVS), up 45% in one day and 72% in a week.
