A new sharing platform will change how businesses securely share, collaborate and train through video.
The new Three Share platform was dreamt up when North East digital video agency Three Motion became frustrated when it was trying to effectively share content with clients internally.
It began the process of creating technology to directly address what it considered to be the shortfalls of global video platforms such as YouTube.
Based at Hoults Yard in Newcastle, Three Share is now calling upon North East businesses to get in touch and help test and further develop the product before launching it nationally later in the year.
A simple three-step interface allows users to create a branded platform to upload videos, links and even quiz questions before sharing these with their invited audiences.
Commercial director Gavin Knights said: “Regardless of size, organisations are now adopting the use of video, for either training, promotion or internal communication.
“It became apparent to us, that when a business wished to share video content internally or to external invited audiences, there is currently no solution.
“We have the likes of YouTube for social sharing and DropBox for file transfers, but nowhere to collaborate through video securely. Three Share is the first of its kind and we’re proud of this new technology.
“The North East has a diverse range of businesses from cutting-edge digital, and manufacturing, so is the perfect place to trial the platform. As a business based in the region, we’re also very happy to support through the on-boarding process.
“We encourage any business who may find Three Share useful to get in touch. Together, we can be part of something that will provide practical and easy to use solutions for the video economy.”
The inbuilt video analytics provides critical information, where feedback or video sign-off might be essential.
Furthermore, once members have watched the video, left comments and answered questions, if required to, the platform manager receives notifications and is able to access vital viewer analytics and content ‘sign off’.
Creative director Neil Wood-Mitchell said: “Many businesses have a need to share and comment on video content, but don’t wish to use YouTube – as for it’s not really designed for this purpose.
“Our platform provides managers with vital information on when videos have been viewed and are especially useful where sign-off is required.
“We’ve had significant interest from industries where sign-off on induction videos is a must. Three Share is also ideal for training companies who wish to support classroom material with video content. Currently, there is no other platform which places the video at the heart of the conversation, whilst capturing vital data and comments.
“To support the ongoing development and improvement of the platform we’re currently recruiting beta-testers. We’d like to hear from organisations who have a need to securely share a video with colleagues, customers or suppliers.
“The way we use video is constantly evolving. As a video agency it’s vital we create tools that can help organisations share content more effectively.
“It’s early days but we anticipate the requirement for using video as an internal communication tool growing tenfold, as businesses understand how powerful it can be.”
