Apadmi delighted as DonorPath wins app gong

Apadmi Enterprise CEO Matt Hunt said he was “delighted” that its work in the NHS was recognised with the ‘best app’ gong at the Northern Digital Awards.

Apadmi collected the accolade for DonorPath, the solution it created for NHS Blood and Transplant which reduces administration for specialist nurses so they can spend more time with the families of organ donors.

DonorPath, developed in support of the digital transformation of the NHS, is being used to replace paper-based processes with nurses able to enter data directly into the app.

“We are delighted to have won best app for our work with the NHS Blood and Transplant authority,” said Hunt.

“DonorPath is supporting the digital transformation of traditional administration in UK healthcare, so it’s a project we are proud to have worked on.

“This solution is more than just an app. We have designed and built a full system for the app to run on, alongside website portals and server middleware to integrate into existing NHS systems.

“The collective result of this whole solution helps to improve patient care and process efficiency, as well as cut the costs of printing and paper waste; it’s great that this work has been recognised.”

Apadmi’s app, which is already being used in over 200 acute hospitals in the UK, also checks entries for accuracy – meaning that chances of human error are greatly reduced – and also minimises data security risks through encryption.
