A British multinational software company has aided in the creation of a new chatbot for this year’s Invictus Games in Sydney which take place in October.

Sage, a Premier Partner of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 provided financial support and intellectual capital to help develop the Chatbot.

‘Cobber’, named after the official mascot for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018, was created with the help of Kriti Sharma, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Sage, to help make the event even easier for supporters and competitors to engage with and enjoy the Games.

“The delivery of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our partners,” said Patrick Kidd OBE CEO, at Invictus Games Sydney 2018.

“Sage are a Premier Partner of the Games and the delivery of Cobber the Chatbot is yet another example of their commitment to ensuring that our competitors, family and friends have the best possible experience.

Cobber the Chatbot will help ensure we connect with our Global community in a meaningful way 24/7.”

The company developed the world’s first accounting Chatbot, called PEGG, to reduce the time our customers spend on business administration.

Kriti Sharma, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Sage, added: “We used many of the learnings from developing PEGG to help bring Cobber’s personality to life.

“Cobber the Chatbot can quickly reply to large numbers of messages seeking answers to commonly asked questions on topics such as event times and ticketing.”
