The valuation of the major coins remained fairly steady in the last 24 hours, with two exceptions.

At the time of writing (7am), Ripple’s XRP coin, which had gained 20% from Monday to Tuesday morning, fell back more than 6% to $1.01.

XRP, which set a record valuation of $1.91 a few weeks ago, is around 2% down on last Wednesday.

Dogecoin (DOGE), the coin created as a crypto parody and based on a meme – and backed for great things by Tesla CEO Elon Musk – was up 10% to around 37 cents, following on from a 14% rise in the previous 24-hour period.

Ethereum (ETH) fell back 2.5% to around $2,650 after a 17% rise from Monday to Tuesday. It is 7% down over seven days and way below its record price of $4,300, set just last month.

Bitcoin (BTC) dropped below $37,000 again with a 1% fall and is 6% down on its price seven days ago.

Litecoin (LTC) was down 2% to $181. The altcoin – billed as a lighter and faster version of Bitcoin – is down 7% in a week.
