Technology

The founder and CEO of discount eCommerce marketplace Wowcher is one of several big names to be confirmed for BusinessCloud’s Insights 2020: eCommerce conference in November.

Roland Bryan set the London business up with Karen Kemble-Diaz in 2011 and has overseen its growth to more than 19 million subscribers, with 8,000 deals now available on the platform.

Bryan will give insight into Wowcher’s success, effective personalisation and its ambitious plans to drive even further growth in untapped areas of the market.

The Insights 2020 conference, to be held on the morning of Wednesday 13th November at UKFast Campus in Manchester, will shine a light on the true trailblazers reinventing how we sell, shop and market products.

Also set for the ‘gain a marketing edge’ panel alongside Bryan is David Duke, COO of Visualsoft, an established North East-based eCommerce agency with £13 million turnover.

Amsterdam-headquartered FinTech unicorn Adyen is a payments platform which links up eCommerce and in-store purchases and boasts customers including Facebook, Uber, Spotify and L’Oreal.

Its senior VP business development Colin Neil will look at the future of payments tech on a ‘boost your online sales’ panel.

Four highly-rated start-up entrepreneurs have also been confirmed for the event.

Manchester-based Mercarto celebrated seven-figure revenues in its first year of trading and connects sellers and suppliers through its marketplace. TEDx speaker and CEO Sean Brown will demonstrate how budding entrepreneurs can set up an eCommerce store in minutes.

He will be joined on the ‘start your first online store’ panel by Adam Pritchard, whose ‘pay as you grow’ Shopit platform aims to level the playing field for small businesses.

Also set for that panel is Laura Beattie, co-founder of Careaux, which is looking to harness blockchain, mobile body scanning, artificial intelligence and VR in its innovative dressmaking business.

Michael Lawes, CEO of Manchester-based loyalty tech start-up BizzleIt, will also feature on the marketing panel.
