Manchester-based FinTech Total Processing is celebrating a year of growth after the opening of its latest international office in Dubai in November 2021.
The payments processing firm has won 80 local clients and boosted headcount from two to 13 as it targets the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Founded in 2015, Total Processing is one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, delivering solutions to more than 3,000 clients.
It supports merchants looking to bridge the digital gap in commerce solutions and is disrupting the payments sector through delivery of custom payment solutions across online and in-store channels worldwide.
Co-founder Alex Leigh and regional head (MENA) Danny Makin opened the firm’s first international office outside of Europe in Dubai in April 2021 with the goal of growing its presence across the region. They moved to a larger office in November.
Recent client wins include hospitality group RAK Hospitality, AddMind, vehicle shipping agent CARS Shipping, bespoke tailor Suited & Booted and property maintenance company We Will Fix it.
Key additions to the team over the past year include merchant onboarding manager Kimberly Suares and experienced account manager Katy Booth, previously of Starling Bank.
Meanwhile, the firm has been able to further embed itself into the region’s payments market through key partnerships with the likes of American Express and business set-up agency Virtuzone.
Alex Leigh, co-founder at Total Processing, said: “The digital payments market is in a state of flux, particularly here in the Middle East. Historically the region had been dependent on cash but in the two years prior to our launch, the value of digital transactions more than doubled with $18.5bn of transactions in 2020 as consumers and businesses embrace new methods of payment.
“Over the past year we have supported some of the region’s best-known brands to provide a seamless experience for their customers, through our bespoke and tailored payments offering. The region will continue to be transformational for Total Processing as we look to scale globally and deliver on an ambition to be the most customer-focused payments business in the world.”
