A leading corporate lawyer who recently launched a tech-driven firm is creating new jobs following its rapid growth, having secured 50 clients in just six months.

Zohaib Hashim, founder of Manchester-based Blackmont Legal, has quickly positioned the firm as a major player in the corporate legal sector, combining expert legal counsel with cutting-edge technology to support businesses at all stages.

Following its success, the firm is now gearing up for expansion, with plans to hire 10 new staff members in the coming months to meet rising demand for corporate legal services.

Blackmont Legal’s diverse client base includes startups, SMEs, and high-profile companies across various industries. The firm has advised football clubs and multinational corporations including Dinner Lady, a vaping company it helped scale into a £50m business.

Having spent time in San Francisco and raised in Saudi Arabia, Zohaib studied Law at the University of Manchester before gaining experience across multiple legal markets.

After honing his skills in corporate and commercial law in Pakistan, he returned to the UK, where he built a reputation as a ‘fixer’ at Slater and Gordon, one of the country’s most renowned firms, taking on complex cases and winning them on razor-sharp technicalities.

He later played a key role in turning around the corporate department at another leading law firm before deciding to launch his own in 2024.

Blackmont leverages artificial intelligence and cloud-based case management systems to streamline legal workflows and enhance the client experience.

This modern approach allows the firm to deliver high-quality legal solutions more efficiently and at a lower cost than traditional corporate firms, without compromising on expertise.
