The search is on to find London’s most disruptive tech businesses

Technology

As the heart of the UK’s tech scene and the centre of Europe’s FinTech space, London is a shining light for emerging tech businesses.

With the help of the area’s incubators and accelerators and expert judges, BusinessCloud will be releasing its ‘London Tech 301’ list, celebrating the most disruptive businesses in the capital.

The list will complement existing regional lists uncovering the best of Yorkshire and Humberside; North West, North East and Midlands.

BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire said: “We know London is the centre of the UK’s tech sector so we thought now was the night time to shine a spotlight on the city’s most disruptive tech companies.

“Disruptive businesses come in all shapes and sizes and work across every sector, from FinTech to HealthTech, from EdTech to PropTech and so on. For this list, we’re less interested in turnover and more interested in companies with game-changing technology.

“Most of our lists are 101 names long but the challenge in London will be limiting ourselves to 301. We’re looking for start-ups, scale-ups and established London tech businesses.

“Clearly we’re interested in the growth story and investment received but the absolute key is the technology and why it’s disruptive.”
