Appointments

Manchester-based tech-for-good firm Culture Shift has bolstered its senior team with two new appointments and a new addition to its board.

With almost 15 years of experience, Jules Curtin has joined Culture Shift’s growing team as vice president of sales, while Naomi Davidson has been appointed head of success.

The additions follow the recruitment of Geraldine Osman as an advisory board member.

Launched in 2018, the startup’s proprietary online reporting platform gives organisations the insight they need to monitor and prevent bullying and harassment in educational institutions and workplaces.

Last year the startup hit £1m Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) for the first time and secured £1.5m investment in a funding round led by Praetura Ventures and Blackfinch Ventures.

As part of her role, Curtin will be responsible for maintaining relationships with Culture Shift’s existing clients, while playing a key role in the company’s growth and long-term ambition to improve the world of work and study.

Davidson has joined the team to help streamline the way in which Culture Shift works with new and existing clients.

Osman brings a wealth of experience with her, having successfully founded and exited StaffConnect Group, a mobile employee engagement platform helping to connect and engage workforces nationwide.

She has also supported other organisations through periods of accelerated growth.

Osman said: “It’s rare in life that you get the opportunity to work for a company whose mission and values resonate so strongly. I’m really excited to join Culture Shift at a time of such enormous growth and look forward to being able to facilitate more and more people having access to such a critical platform.”

The additions have helped triple the size of team since the start of 2020, which is one of the reasons for the company’s recent move into a new office space in the creative community of 86 Princess Street, Manchester.

Gemma McCall, CEO and co-founder of Culture Shift, said: “Over recent years, we’ve seen significant growth within the business, and welcoming Jules and Naomi to the team is the next step in our journey.

“Our board has also grown in size, with Geraldine joining as an advisory board member. Our team, and ultimately the business, is growing rapidly and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us.”
