Managed services and cloud hosting provider SysGroup has appointed chief operating officer Adam Binks to its board.
Binks joined AIM-listed SysGroup as COO in August 2014 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group, which has offices in Liverpool, Coventry, London and East Sussex.
The company said Binks has become an “integral part” of the management team during his tenure, and has played a pivotal role in its transformation to becoming a managed services provider.
“We are delighted to welcome Adam to the board. He brings a strong technical background, supported by detailed commercial knowledge of the group,” said chief executive Chris Evans.
“Adam has been a strong member of the senior management team since he joined the group and we look forward to working with him as part of the board.”
Binks has held senior management and board level positions over the last 14 years within the managed services and telecoms sector. Prior to joining SysGroup, he was responsible for the sales and technical functions of Vispa, a cloud hosting and connectivity provider.
Prior to this, Binks held senior positions at both Aspire Internet and Legend Communications.
